No Rest for the...restless...

I really should be trying to sleep right now...but instead I'll blog about my latest photo. That's the reason I made this blog in the firt place...so I can write about how they go.
So recently us ladies have had it up to our ears with the whole 'Tits and ass' mentality. This is our little way of taking a stand.
The first to start was the lovely Allure F, followed by Miss Aniela, then Haggis Chick. And the list will go on!
Now that I have finally thought up a concept it's my turn.

I got the idea at work and was dying to come home and try it out.
I stripped my animal print quilt off my bed and flipped it to expose it's black under belly and used that as my back drop. I pretty much draped it over some bags that I piled up on the end of my bed and on to the floor. The bags were to give the backdrop more height.

Now...I have to let you in on a little secret.
I HATE body paint. It makes me feel sick when it's on my skin. I just want to go mad. I really feel like I will never be clean again.
Anyways I smeared the awful stuff on my skin, set the pot on my paint try and had to beat the 2 second timer.

I don't have a 10 second timer anymore...my camera display is broken and everything I do on it is from memory...and I somehow turned off the 10 second timer and enabled the 2 second one instead. I'm royally pissed but that's the best I can do for now.

I think this one took about 30 tries and then I get tried of throwing myself about so I called it quits.
I think I spent more time getting that stupid paint off of my skin then actually wearing it...
Ew ew ew ewwwwww!

So I was deliberating whether to make this shot black and white or not, but I figured that this is supposed to be a natural shot, and I also have so many sepia/black and white shots recently that it's time to show my 'true colours'.

This is the result of my shoot:

My Body, My Canvas

the things you have to go through to get great pictures.. well done on overcoming your bodypaint dislike.. I like this picture a lot, but actually prefer the more processed version on flickr, which is really excellent!
Nice blog, I'll be keeping an eye on it :)

ya know AA, despite having to endure the body paint, you did a smashing job of it! you are one of the few, if not the only, SP posters that constantly amazes me with how you present yourself. always in the best light (tasteful), always artful, and above all, always...classy!
