Hello my pretties!
Well...while I am chewing on some new photo ideas I've decided to make a wee blog for you all who'd like to keep an eye on what I'm doing while I'm not posting.
At the moment, I'm at work with 6 hours left to go. Fun fun fun.
I finish work at midnight and I'll have to time warp to my house where I need to get some sleep before I have to be up and at the airport for 7:30 am.
What makes that worse is I'm not actually the one travelling.
*sigh*
It should be alright though. I'll have a coffee and spark up for my uneventful day of doing laundry and cleaning.
Yesterday was quite the opposite!
I went on a zip line tour in the rainforest here!
Now I have to admit that I was really frightened...I was pretty much just jumping off before I had time to think about how high I was and how fast you zip along these lines.
I didn't bother taking my camera because with my luck it would have done a swan dive out of my pocket and then I'd be fit to be tied. Once I get some photos of the event I'll stick one or two up here.
Please keep in mind that I will most likely look like I need to use the bathroom in all of the photos.
I must say though, it was quite thrilling once I adapted to being thrown through trees supported by a couple of wires and a harness. I had a bit of trouble with the breaking due to the fact that I either had my arm too far back or I was putting too much pressure on the line at once which resulted in my chicken wing arm being catapulted repeatedly off the wire every time I tried to break.
In reality, I really didn't even need to break but I wanted to at least know that I could break properly incase a situation arose that I'd need to. So my first three or four lines were a bit more jolting than they should have been, not to mention I managed to travel down sideways once(much to my horror)
I know I am making this experience sound horrible but it really wasn't! It was my first time so I was just nervous. It was totally enjoyable. The scenery, the speed, being so high up in the trees, green everywhere, the group I was with and the courses were extremely fun. The staff were also impressive and understanding.
Needless to say though...my arm is sore :P
After that I went to a friend's house for an exceptionally cooked wahoo burger (yum!), then off for a coffee and then relaxed the rest of the day.
Sundays = the best day of the week.
Any day with 'sun' in it is bound to be a good one!
Well folks, that's all for now! Keep reading and I'll update as much as possible.
Any feedback is appreciated!
Toodles!
